AmBank Group, one of Malaysia’s largest banking institutions, recently embarked on a bold digital transformation initiative.
The bank sought to modernise its digital infrastructure, improve customer experience, and streamline processes due to the many challenges posed by an antiquated content management system (CMS).
Websparks was chosen as the technology partner to bring this transformation to life, in close collaboration with AmBank’s internal team and UI/UX partner, Aleph Labs.
The Challenge
AmBank’s outdated CMS could no longer keep up with the evolving demands of a fast-paced, tech-savvy financial institution.
It was inflexible, dependent on heavy technical support for simple and minor updates. In addition, it was unable to meet the modern UI expectations and speed of delivery.
The bank required a strong and future-ready CMS amidst its numerous disconnected websites and growing concerns for security.
The Solution

Using Sitefinity’s robust multisite features, Websparks took the lead in combining four formerly disparate websites—ambankgroup.com, ambank.com.my, aminvest.com, and ambankbizclub.com—into a single, centralised platform.
